Privacy Policy

In short

Cat Lab Grilling does not collect, sell or share any personal data. It has no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking, and it does not send anything to a server.

Bluetooth

The app uses Bluetooth only to read your thermometer probe: temperatures, battery levels and signal strength. It reads from the probe and never changes its settings. On Android the app asks for the Nearby devices permission (Bluetooth scan and connect) and declares that it never uses Bluetooth scans to work out your location. Android 8 to 11 only allow Bluetooth scanning with the Location permission; on those versions the app asks for it and still never uses your location.

Data stored on your device

Your readings, cooks (name, cut, doneness, target) and settings are stored only on your device, in the app's own storage. They are removed when you delete the app. Exporting a CSV file happens only when you choose to, through your device's share sheet.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, the app shows a local notification when the probe reaches your target. Notifications are created on the device; nothing is sent over the internet.

Children

The app does not collect data from anyone, including children.
